Wednesday & Thursday Exhibitions are sold in the covered arena ($5 each)
Check-in starts on Thursday May 9th @ 9am. Continues on Friday May 10th @ 8am until the 100th horse runs (usually around 11 am)
Friday Open 4D will start @8am
Saturday Open 4D will start @8am ******REVERSE ORDER********
Sunday Open 4D Top 20 in each D each day will qualify for the Sunday Short Round
Pre-Order event t-shirts: $30 (sales tax not included) Cut off is May 3rd.
The APHA is offering a $500 side pot for any registered paint horse. Entries will be held for this at check in and secretaried by APHA. They will also be able to help register any horse which carries the visual markers required be eligible for APHA registration.
IMPORTANT DATES:
- TO BE IN PRE-DRAW ENTRIES MUST BE IN 5/3/24 BY MIDNIGHT
- NO REFUNDS AFTER 5/9/24
- DRAW WILL BE POSTED 5/6/24 BY 5PM
- All the entries numbers will be given at check-in including entries after the cut-off for the pre-draw.
Josey Jr World Barrel Race Rules
All Jr World contestants must be 20 years old or under as of January 1st 2024.
Refunds, when approved by the Rules Committee, will be 75% of the total Entry Fee (processing fees are non-refundable)
All effort will be made to post the results of each Go immediately following the completion of the Go.
DRESS CODE: Long sleeve shirt and hat (or riding/safety helmet) are mandatory.
Finalists are requested to be in dress code for finals awards presentation and pictures.
Family members are allowed to compete on the same horse.
Contestant must enter the holding pen the drag before their run order. If Contestant chooses to scratch on any run, please notify the gate or arena staff of the scratch.
Contestant will be called three times and if not ready to run when called, contestant will be scratched.
Contestant must run the horse drawn in that draw number position.
The same horse must be run in the same draw position for each Go.
The 2nd Go will be run in reverse order.
NO HORSE SUBSTITUTIONS after a horse has made its first run.
No one is allowed to assist the Contestant past the mouth of the arena.
Josey staff ONLY in the arena during competition.
Any knocked over barrel will be a no time.
After the timer starts, breaking the timeline for any reason prior to the completion of the run is a no time.
Every effort will be made to follow NBHA guidelines.
Any dispute will be reviewed by the Rules Committee and all rulings will be final
